Welcome to MintPoll. This Privacy Policy explains how MintPoll (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

This policy applies to two main groups of individuals:

  • Creators: Individuals who register for a MintPoll account to create and distribute surveys.
  • Respondents: Individuals who fill out surveys created by our Creators.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information from Creators
When you create an account, we collect information to manage your subscription and provide the Service:

  • Account Data: Name, email address, password, and company name (if applicable).
  • Billing Information: Credit card details and billing address (processed securely by our third-party payment processors; we do not store full credit card numbers).
  • Usage Data: Information about how you navigate the platform, IP address, browser type, and device information.

B. Information from Respondents
We process Respondent data solely on behalf of our Creators.

  • Survey Responses: Any data, text, or media submitted in response to a MintPoll survey.
  • Technical Data: We may collect IP addresses, browser types, and timestamp data to prevent fraud (e.g., preventing multiple submissions from the same device) and to ensure the Service functions correctly.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: Hosting surveys, processing responses, and displaying analytics to Creators.
  • To Maintain Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, spam, phishing, and abuse of the platform.
  • To Communicate: Sending administrative emails, billing notices, and platform updates to Creators.
  • To Improve MintPoll: Aggregating anonymized usage data to understand how our platform is used and to build better features.

Important Note regarding Respondent Data: We do not sell Respondent data. We only process Respondent data strictly according to the instructions of the Creator (who acts as the Data Controller).

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us run our business (e.g., cloud hosting providers, payment processors, and customer support tools). These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as a business asset.

5. Data Retention and Security

  • Security: We implement industry-standard security measures (including encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • Retention: We retain Creator account data for as long as the account is active. We retain Respondent data for as long as the Creator chooses to keep the survey active or until the Creator deletes the data. If a Creator deletes their account, we will delete or anonymize all associated survey and respondent data within 30 days, subject to legal obligations.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request the deletion or correction of your personal data.
  • Opt-out of certain data processing or object to our use of your data.

For Respondents: Because the Creator is the Data Controller of your survey responses, you must contact the Creator directly to exercise your data rights (e.g., asking to delete a specific survey submission). MintPoll will assist Creators in fulfilling these requests.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies to keep Creators logged in, remember preferences, and analyze platform traffic. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. We do not use tracking cookies on Respondent survey pages unless specifically enabled by the Creator for analytics purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Creators via email or through an in-app alert before the changes take effect.
